Description

This work was completed in 1935 and exhibited in July 1935. Magritte describes it as follows: "Collective Invention is the answer to the problem of the sea. I laid on the beach a mermaid, whose upper body is that of a fish and whose lower body is made of the belly and legs of a woman."

Dimensions: 15.5 cm x 14 cm x 3 cm. This resin figurine has been handcrafted and painted by highly skilled artisans. Each figurine is therefore unique, and there may be slight variations from one model to another. Delivered with certificate.
